Is the Memory Lane JR worth replacing the Carbon Copy?

Just saw this and was curious. I mean saw clips of the ML jr. The ML and ML 2 are out of my price range and wasn't really thinking of replacing the CC but I was reading up on the ML jr and figured why not get the Diamond Trem and ML jr and call it a day with my funds and stop bugging you nice peoplewith all my threads. Anyway, is the ML jr worth replacing the CC delay, I like ambient delay, like hazy delay if ya know what I'm saying.

well, if you have the space, cash and want tap tempo and probably better modulation, go for it, otherwise, i really like the cc, and its one of the best cheaper delays to me

I have the ML Jr #7. It does just about everything I could want it too. While I haven't tried the CC, I couldn't be happier with the ML jr. its small, sounds good and is just enough. the TT is excellent and the foot toggle for the divisions is neat.

Cash yes, Space maybe, Tap Tempo I don't care for really, live with it or without it. Yeah I like the CC too. Was thinking of upgrading.

The ML Jr. is EXACTLY what you described. A higher quality carbon copy, basically. I absolutely love mine.

It gets very hazy. When I'm not using straight delay voicings, I use mine a lot as a "fog" machine - when you dime the feedback, the repeats will drone forever into this beautiful background presence without oscillating into a spaceship gimmick. The repeats are perfectly voiced - very much "warm" and not as dark and muddy as the CC.

I can't recommend it enough. I play ambient and post-rocky music, by the way. I have gone through countless delays and this might be my favorite for ease of use and sound quality.

WOW. That sounds good. I figure with an addition of the ML jr and the Tremelo I would be set. Was thinking of adding the Plextortion with my Barber DB but I don't really need 5 dirt pedals. But I would like to upgrade my delay if I have the money and the chance ya know.

Yep, I hear you. I'm really picky about my delay and this one just feels right. I personally don't care for tremolo too much, but to each his own!

Well I am gonna listen to some more clips just to make sure, cause what you described is def what I am after. I am thinking I may not need a 250 dollar trem since i am not going to use it all the time but I figure what the hell it would be cool to have two Diamonds on my board.

I was never really a fan of the CC to be honest. Very dark and muddy to my ears.

Picked up an ML jr recently, they are absolutely fantastic. I've owned an ML2 in the past, this thing comes VERY close. But it is actually quite a bit more usable. 1200 ms is awesome to have, the repeats are much more stable so you can bring the feedback knob up quite a bit, and you can toggle between the different modes by foot with the spring loaded switch. Just awesome.

Can any of you guy's that have a ML. Jr tell me if it can get a good 'Slapback' going, along with it's other uses? I have a Diamond trem that I think is superb and am also looking to upgrade from my Hardwire Delay to something better. Cheers!

Yes, it will do this well. The repeats are not as mushy as the old bucket brigade chips and your wet signal will cut nicely.

So you're saying the Jr won't self oscillate? I like spaceship gimmicks...
