Scumnico in a deluxe reverb

iam considering this as a option for a DRRI i just picked up, i have a older silverface i like with a tone tubby , but want something differant for this one, would like your opiniouns on ths speaker for playing clean through a deluxe, i had talked to Jim on the phone, realy nice guy, he had said the 30w version would be great, but i was wandering ,what about mabe going up to the 65 ? mabe help a touch in the clean headroom, would tone still stay about the same as the 30 ? any way, like to hear your thoughts on the Scumnico anilco in a deluxe reverb, hopefully would take out the ice pickyness that the stock DRRI,s come with, thanks.............

I have tried a few Speakers in my 1966 Deluxe Reverb, I found I like the chime of an Alnico more than a Ceramic magnet. I have not tried the Scumnico, But I Love the Celestion Blue in my Deluxe Reverb for the past few years. Even though that speaker is only rated at a mere 15 watts, I Crank my Deluxe Reverb, and never had a problem.

Freeman, here on TGP, tried my Scuminco with his deluxe and really liked it. He is a solid Fender with Pedals guy.
