Double checking my wiring on a strat
I am wiring my strat similar to a USA Nashville Tele (position 3 is Bridge and Neck instead of Middle P/U) and have the Super Switch and the wiring diagram to do it. My question is that since I never use Tone pots and prefer not to even have them wired up in the first place, can I leave any of the red (they are red in the diagram) jumper wires out? I just want the pickups going to the switch, to the volume pot, and straight to the jack.

Never mind, you need them all hooked up!! OMG does it sound really good!! That middle position make my strat sound like a Tele in the middle position!! It was totally worth the wiring nightmare that is a Fender Super Switch!!

Gets pretty bright without the tone pots, don't it?

A Tele with out a tone pot... Hmmm
FAIL Why don't you put a 1-meg volume with a treble-bleed kit, and play thru a pa cab with a horn, too. What are you going for? Steve Albini?

I turn down the treble on the amp, but yes; I do prefer a bright, punchy sound. I just never use the tone pots anyway. Eddie Van Halen has always done that too. His MusicMan and Peavey Signature models only had a volume knob (I believe the new EVH has 2 volume knobs and no tones)
