Help me with a Mesa recifier sound on my POD XT Live

I have been doing the whole amp mod thing a while now and I consider myself pretty good at emulating amp tones. However, I can't seem to get a good Recto sound to save my life. I'm looking for Chevelle/seether kinda squashy spongey tone that we all know and love from the Recto. I just can't get "balls" out of it like the real thing. Is it just the model itself that is lacking? What do you do to get a good Recto tone?
