Pod HD 500 Demo some high gain some crunchy cleans...
The more I used the Pod the more I like it. Still haven't switched for live performance but like many modelers, it so easy to use in studio. Here's another demo showing the Pod HD 500 in the mix of a produced song. The amp models used are: Dr Z, Britt J-45, Brit J-800, Mesa Treadplate & Bogner Uberschall. It was recorded in FL Studio 10 direct in via USB ASIO.

guitarnet70 ... You're in Germany. My live rig is a German made H&K Switchblade. I love H&K amps! They are, imho, the best all around amps made. Last edited by ToddWeller; 05-19-2011 at 11:03 PM. |

![]() The delay and fx for the lead were set in flstudio using some free vst plug-ins (notice the low cut setting it helps to make a pleasing delay in the mix) ... ![]() I hope that helps! |

I have a Triamp half stack that is out for sale at the moment. Fantastic amp, but the places where you can crank that monster are always less and I'm busy with 2 different bands (plus a third one, sometime). I cannot lug 70 and more kg of amp twice a week (plus rehearsal!) and I find modeling to be easier and good enough. Happy with my HD500 and have an Axe II on order.

I am on a crusade to stop chorus abuse. the recording and arrangement of that oh-so-familiar song sounds really good though a bit chorus-y... I'd just assume not hear ANY chorus in ANY recording that is not for an atmospheric part of an arrangement. Particularly so when it comes to lead guitar. The heavy chorus makes it reek of 1987 you'd be better off double tracking to get a similar but more pallatable result.
Otherwise it's a pretty tasty recording. |

Personally I don't mind a trip back to the 80's every once in a while.
![]() Sounds great! Great playing as well!

Oh.. I play in an '80s cover band... I'm there all the time, love it. At least he's not playing "Highway to Hell" with a chorus... Heard that a few weeks back from another bar band and it lieterally made my spine crawl it was so hideous.

Ok, please explain what you mean by crunchy cleans. In my world, that is a contradiction in terms?
