Exclamation Yes - Fly From Here samples now on iTunes

I was a fan of the Drama lineup and record so hearing these samples makes me optimistic that Yes has made this lineup work with going back to that sound with Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes working on this project with them. I do miss Jon Anderson but I hope the cd sounds as good as these samples. Pleasantly surprised, honestly.

Check out the samples at iTunes. Releases on July 12th.

I know about the rotating Yes lineup, but is this the first Yes album on which Jon Anderson has not sung?

Very glad to see they're including the song "We Can Fly From Here"...very cool tune. I've heard demos and live recordings of it from back in the Drama era and always wished that they would have included it on the Drama album.

I loved Drama - it was kind of "Yes gets some Gonads" with the heaviest Steve Howe guitar sound, even heavier than on Relayer.

I've got "We Can Fly From Here 1 and 2" on the Buggles re-release of "Adventures in Modern Recording" but I definetely will buy this one since I loved the Drama lineup and the recording quality of that song on that CD is demo quality.

Cautiously optimistic.

I'm so interested to hear Trevor Horn's production. The guy was always way ahead of his time. 90125 still sounds fresh, and I think Big Generator would've been fantastic (instead of just really good) if he was involved from start to finish.

And look at the rest of his work, beyond reproach: Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Seal...the first two Seal albums still sound incredible 20 years later - wow, that came out that long ago!
