Power amp caught on fire!

Hey there,
Last week I was going to play the song "Afternoon Delight" for my wife and when I flipped the switch to my guitar rack on I heard a loud pop from the power amp and then saw smoke and a small fire.. It's a Rocktron Velocity 300 from about 92 or 93 and the repair guy says he can't fix it because the fire burned up a circuit board that Rocktron doesn't have anymore.

Anyone know where I might find some old Rocktron parts out there?

If not what would you guys suggest for a replacement for it?

I had it fixed a couple years back and bought a Tubeworks Mosvalve power amp to use while it was out, and I didn't like the way it sounded compared to the 300.

Thanks for any help you can give,
Jeff

I think this is what caused it.

well played... and well received. A lot of guys on this forum wouldn't have had enough of a sense of humor to handle that with class. Kudos Smakutus. Carry on...

You may just have to buy another honestly. The cost to repair will probably be similar to replacing it.

Well at least it wasn't a Mesa Strategy or something. Could have been potentially hazardous. Solid States are usually less dangerous in these kinds of situations.

In all seriousness, maybe a mesa power amp? Back in my rack days as a youth I always lusted after a tube power amp, only to find my ears mostly liked hybrid designs.
