So, did Iggy Pop ever wear a shirt in the 60's 70's?

I wasn't alive then, so I can't be sure, but I've never seen a picture of him with a shirt on until he was much older.

Can anybody shine some light on this issue?

In those days he always went shirtless when he was high.

You mean to say there's actually pictures of him WITH a shirt?

He was in a car insurance commercial somewhat recently where he was wearing a shirt. The weirdest part was not Iggy pop in a commercial, or the weird puppet, but the fact that he was fully clothed... in long sleeves!

Edit:
To be fair, it is an open shirt. Maybe it was just chilly.

That commercial is hilarious...you're right though, the collared shirt did freak me out a little, the weird puppet not so much

I was in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area when the Stooges were coming up. Saw them all the time & Iggy never had a shirt on at gigs (or shoes), just skin tight black leather pants cut obscenely low.

As far as the tshirt above: I'd bet that he borrowed that tshirt to get into the restaurant or whatever it is.
