Pod HD 500 tone and clip - Joe Bonamassa

Just thought I'd post another tone that might be of interest to some. When I first got the hd months ago one of the things I did relatively early on was spend some time trying to emulate some of the tones I enjoy of my favorite guitarists. One I messed with was a tone ala Joe Bonamassa. I made one and hadn't touched it again for awhile until the other day. I tweaked it a little further, here is the patch and a little recording of me playing a couple parts of songs from the album You and Me to give a sense of how the patch sounds:

This tone was made over headphones, so bear that in mind depending on your setup. I have the fx loop setup for a boost using the patch cable trick (fx loop send to return) which I use for more gain at times, between that and the tubescreamer and boost compressor there are a couple of options.

Excellent tones...playing was just as good.

These tones would work very well in a mix.

Great playing and tone. I would think that it was a little trebly and perhaps lacking the 'depth' of Joe's tone, but was very close. As GuitarTone above said - this setting will probably cut through the mix better anyhow...
