Starlas by Stellarlight!

Picked these both up this year-never a PRS fan before, but I love these guitars: amazing necks, cool vintage looks and tons of tones! The top one is a 2009 and the bottom a 2008. The '08 had been sitting, a demo guitar, at a store in the midwest-I got it for just over $900, and I got the '09 for $1200-both well under their typical sale value! Everyone who has picked them up so far has marveled at their build quality and tones and old-time feel. In a way, I'm glad that a lot of PRS guys aren't into them (apparently, the swoopy/pointy pickguard puts them off!), so I was able to snap them up. The Bigsby stay in tune fine once they're set up properly.

I dig that blue one. What's the neck profile like?

It's their "wide-fat" neck. It fills up the hand nicely but is quite rounded on the sides, and the fingerboard edges have been rolled-it's just exquisitely comfortable, the nicest necks I've played.

It's funny; I've got the pickups set up exactly the same on both guitars, precise heights all the way to how the screwtops are turned, the same strings at the same height, and the guitars do not play nor sound exactly the same. The cherry red mahogany one has been played in a store for a few years and truly does feel more broken in, easier to play and sounds a touch warmer.
