Schoenberg Recording Kings: your reviews?
I'm thinking of sending my pet OM back to SCGC for some work, the routine stuff that you'd expect for a well-loved but often played 15 year old guitar.
This OM is my keep-it-on-the-couch fingerpicking and songwriting guitar. While it's in the shop, I'm thinking about getting a Schoenberg Recording King to sub for it, based solely on the notion that even though it's under $1K, Eric wouldn't put his name on anything bad. (At least, no Schoenberg I've ever played has been less than very good to excellent, and some have gone well beyond that.) I like the specs on these, the woods and the design, the cutaway and the body size, too. So what's the verdict on these guitars? I'm used to playing the good stuff (own a couple older Collings in addition to my German/Braz Cruz OM) and I know not to expect a world-class instrument at the RK price. So, what do I get for my grand, and what isn't going to be there? I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who owns or has owned one. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to go someplace where I can play one of these puppies. Sent my Cruz off to the factory a couple of days ago, and miss it already.
