GB12 for AC30?

Hey guys,
im currently using the stock G12M's with my AC30.
I've broke them in for a good 30 hours yet and i still think celestion speakers are quite harsh. Would some GB12's help? Anyone experience with them in an AC30?

Greenback RI? Harsh? Give it more time, if it's the type of raw breakup you don't like, the Emi GB12 will have a little American flavor mixed in, less rounded on top and more in your face with it's higher db ... but as different as the voicing is, it's still a greenback type with greenback breakup.

I had a Gb12-8 ohm in my 18 watt Marshall clone and it sounded really good. I always liked that speaker.

I'd believe you've only just started to break them in. They take a while before they sweeten up. Mine took nearly a year, and the Gold over a year to get noticeable sweet tones.

the GB12 actually sounds very interesting for my fender twin reverb.

Is it a AC30 C2 ?
Give them more time.
I think they sound fine with my AC15 C1 and with my '78 AC30 as well.
Eminence (I tried PJ's) are great but better in fender amps IMO.

Does that mean that it's a new amp and you've only used it for 30 hours so far?

Give it a little more time - Maybe in a couple of months you'll notice a change.
