GB12 for AC30?
Hey guys,
im currently using the stock G12M's with my AC30. I've broke them in for a good 30 hours yet and i still think celestion speakers are quite harsh. Would some GB12's help? Anyone experience with them in an AC30? |

Greenback RI? Harsh? Give it more time, if it's the type of raw breakup you don't like, the Emi GB12 will have a little American flavor mixed in, less rounded on top and more in your face with it's higher db ... but as different as the voicing is, it's still a greenback type with greenback breakup.

I had a Gb12-8 ohm in my 18 watt Marshall clone and it sounded really good. I always liked that speaker.

I'd believe you've only just started to break them in. They take a while before they sweeten up. Mine took nearly a year, and the Gold over a year to get noticeable sweet tones.

the GB12 actually sounds very interesting for my fender twin reverb.
maybe a GB12 with another speaker like the legend 125 ? |

Is it a AC30 C2 ?
Give them more time. I think they sound fine with my AC15 C1 and with my '78 AC30 as well. Eminence (I tried PJ's) are great but better in fender amps IMO. |

GB12 in my AC15CC1 sounds excellent. Really happy with the amp now

Give it a little more time - Maybe in a couple of months you'll notice a change. |
