Anyone else seen Troll Hunter?

http://www.trollhunterfilm.com/

The wife and I watched this a week or so ago and it was actually a pretty fun little film. The CG was good, acting was not-so-good nor was the plot that well developed or thought out. You just kind-of, step into a story and step out when it's done.

If you get a chance, check it out. You can watch in on Zune (streaming)

Loved it! I live in Norway, am american but have lived here for 18 or so years, and I imagine it is a little different when seen outside of Norway.

The main troll hunter, (Otto Jespersen) is a well known comic here, and so we "know him" kind of on the way in. Also there is a lot of local stuff that are to inside jokes, as "Blues Brothers" is to folk from Chicago (where I am from)...just we get a little extra out of it.

The acting actually was VERY good, it's just that norwegians tend to be a little like they were shown there. The dialogue was excellent. And of course, the history here with trolls, well...they grow up with stories (Asbjørnsen og Moe, they were like the Brothers Grimm for Norway) and it is really funny to see the trolls "alive" and dumb, and kind of a new twist (that they are like dumb animals more than people).

I think it is one of the best norwegian films to come out for a while now.
I don't know if it translates as well, but it was fun. We actually watched the DVD up in our cabin, in the woods, by a lake at night...kinda added to it.
