Carr Triad

I'm very pleased to only have Carr Amps in the fold right now, and I really feel like I have the bases nicely covered....

Mercury for Marshall inspired sounds
Ramber for the Fender vibe
Artemus for the Vox thing.

I know he has his fans, but I still think Steve Carr is a very under-rated manufacturer, the tones are classic and the quality is off the charts.

I've got two Carr's, and they are all I use anymore. Simply the best sounding amps I've ever played through.

I watched My Morning Jacket the other night on Jimmy Fallon and the lead player was going into a Carr and his tone was excellent.

You can hear the Carr in this video.

Can't imagine a set of circumstances that that would cause me to consider parting with my rambler.

What kind of music do you play? What pedal for dirt? Speaker?

Thanks

I hack my way through lots of different kinds of music, from early Beatles through Mayer (with a variety of guitars) and the Rambler sounds great, in fact better than I deserve. Mine has the original Kingpin, I've tried other speakers but the Kingpin suits me fine.

Had a Rambler years ago and foolishly sold it. Finally found another 2 years ago which isn't going anywhere.

Nothing fancy for pedals, most I've had for a *long* time

A modded Blues Driver and a MXR Distortion+ I bought around 1980 or so give me a little variety.

It's a great sounding amp, hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

This is the pair that I have, although my current El Moto is black. These two cover all the bases for me, but I may just have to pick up a Sportsman to make it a "triad".
