How long do you think coffee can sit before the flavor takes a hit?

My coffee's good to the last drop, and they wouldn't lie to me. I know it.

When done right, it can stand the hit and still turn out a superior beverage.

I've drank it after it has set out overnight. Of course it did smell (and taste) like old socks. But it did pack a punch!

I have a coffee maker that heats the carafe more uniformly so a pot is good for a couple hours. With a standard coffee maker, maybe an hour to an hour and a half?

Roman coffee beans, no doubt.

I worked at Starbucks. The coffee carafes have a light that starts blinking after 30 minutes...

Early one morning at work, I went to the break room to get a cup of coffee. One of my co-workers was seated at the table, drinking a cup.
I got a cup of coffee, took one sip, and nearly spat it out on the floor. Now, I'm not too picky about coffee usually, but this stuff was NASTY.
I said, "Who made the coffee this morning?"
My co-worker said, "The pot was still full from yesterday, so I just turned on the burner and re-heated it. It tastes pretty good to me!"
So, I can safely say that yesterday's coffee re-heated is well past the limit.

Same here,

I came in Monday morning and thought 'Oh! somebody beat me in today, the coffee is already made' ... well, it was some late nighters on Sunday that left it there.

Depends on the type of maker. Drip coffee loses flavor fast, but I kind of enjoy old percolated coffee.

I really don`t know I make my own cold press and I let it set for two days before I filter it into a container and it sits in the fridge for about a week before it`s gone.

It`s the only coffee I can drink anymore, strong, tastes great over ice and easy on my gut.

I try to make only what I'll drink in a couple of hours. No, carafe per se. Mine goes into a thermos type that keeps it hot but not cooking. I'll usually grin and bear it if there's much left and reheat it as it is so expensive now and I hate to waste it. And there's only so many parts to relic! I read once to use it to color your gray away. Hell, I smelled like a coffee pot for 3 days.
