Fender Pro Reverb RI. Your thoughts?

So I've had this amp for about 5 yrs and am contemplating selling it. A nice RI but.... this this is super heavy to lug around for just a 1x12. I've upgraded the tubes to JJ's, put a celestion vintage 30 in it, and even changed out the jewel from red to white. I've recently purchased a 78 Fender Champ and even though the Champ is only 5 watts I really love it. I currently have the Pro Reverb hooked up as an external speaker to the Champ. I love the fact that it has tremelo and reverb, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't just sell it buy a reverb and tremelo pedal and maybe a nice 2x10 or 2x12 cab for the Champ. Anyone else have experience with this amp? Thoughts?

A Pro Reverb reissue? I didn't think Fender made one. A Pro Reverb was a 2x12 combo.

As far as I know it is a reissue. I understand the originals were 2x12. I can assure you this is a 1x12 Fender Pro Reverb with Reverb, Gain, Tremelo and Loop on the footswitch. Great amp just too freakin heavey for a 1x12.

After a few minutes of research it appears these were part of the "Pro Tube" series. A couple of short threads on TGP can be found as well. Not many of these amps out there since apparently they were only made from '01ish to '03ish.

Sorry! NOT a reissue. This amp came out under the Pro Tube Series along with the Pro Concert Amp a number of years ago. Both amps are long discontinued by Fender. The original Pro Reverb was a 2 x 12 with two channels. Normal and Bright, with reverb and tremolo on the bright channel only. (as was with most Blackface era Fenders) The original Pro Reverb had Treble and Bass controls on both channels and NO mid control.
The Fender Pro Tube Series Pro Reverb is a 1 x 12 combo with Treble, MIDDLE, and Bass controls on both channels as well as a gain knob on the bright channel.
Again. NOT a reissue of the Fender mid 60's Blackface Pro Reverb 2 x 12.

That amp and was in Fender's 'Pro-Tube' series of amps from a few years ago. It was not a reissue of the original blackface Pro Reverb. The circuit is completely different.

In fact the word 'reissue' is not found anywhere in the manual here:
http://support.fender.com/manuals/gu...erb_manual.pdf

Fender does not consider that amp a reissue.

edit: looks like SuperReverb2 beat me to it.

I had one a couple of years ago and really liked it.....till I had to move it. They weigh a couple of tons..... For me the clean channel, reverb(even tho I don't use it much at all), and tremolo sounded great. The overdrive channel sounded good, but not great. To me, the overdrive channel sounded better at very low volumes than at gig levels.....oh, and did I mention that it weighed as much as a frickin' car? Seriously heavy amp. I eventually traded it for a guitar, don't really miss it much, and actually still have the guitar I traded it for, an SG Standard!

Well I think it's been well established that this is not a reissue but part of the Pro Tube series. Anyone else have any thoughts/experience with this amp. Still thinking I might go ahead and sell it ad persue a vintage SF or something alike.

I have one and like the sound but yes it's mighty heavy. And I remember when I bought they called it a "reissue" but maybe that was just the saleman talking. How much are they worth? I might want to sell mine.
