Remember when Subway cut their sandwiches differently?

They used to do a U-shaped channel in the bread instead of just cutting it length-wise. I think you can track the decline in American society to when they switched....

...didn't they get sued for "...not providing all the material (bread) that was paid for..."?

Yes, I remember that, and the bread was better, too. I had Subway a few weeks ago and I really couldn't believe how bad the "wheat" bread was.

.......and has the size of the toppings diminished?

Had Subway the other day and the sandwich was mighty small.

Yeah I remember that, I HATED it. One time I went in to get a sandwich and I asked them if they would just cut the roll the normal way and the person said he couldn't/wouldn't. We ended up getting in a discussion about it and I left without a sandwich. It was a battle of the wills. I'm still not sure who won.

Yeah, I had the same experience the last time I ate there. What is it? Wheat cardboard?

Same here. Rolled up is not the way a sandwich is made. Get a wrap if that's what you want. I need layers, old school style. I'm glad to hear they're back to it so I don't have to try explaining this tricky concept to folks who's first language often isn't English, makes for a tough interaction.

They would actually cut the top in a triangle. When did they stop?

When they started toasting the subds, they had to stop the U cut. Who'd want to have that toasted?

i remember that, it's been a long time...i remember my 1st time eating it...whew it was a messy sandwich to eat, but good!!!!!

....downfall of american culture/society since then....well a bit of a stretch...
it was unique....didn't love it at the time, but if you had a lot of stuff on your sandwich, it held it together well...and made sense in a way....
oh well....change.......
