Julian Lage and Jorge Roeder
Is Julian Lage on the cutting edge?
playing here with Jorge Roeder Their interaction is amazing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icQ7qMrXazE I see Julian (only 22) rising through the masses of one of the most competitive fields to the top .001% of players. |

I absolutely love his playing, but what you mentioned is one of the things I always come away with after listening to him. The experience seems so child-like and fun for him. Cool that you could be there to hear this in person.

That youthful joy was discovered at that age and is as important as anything else. That made me think of others that smile when playing Robben Ford Mike Stern who else? It's a simple way to emotionally connect with the instrument. |
