JP's tone and playing on that whole CD set are simply awesome.

Yes, that whole live album is pure magic. For me, the definitive answer for what rock and roll really is.

When I really want to impress someone with my playing, that's the song I play. To be honest, it's such a beautiful and dynamic peice, that it's more of a 'journey' that I'm on, over the years, to capture it, rather than to be able to say I can 'Nail' it. Such a beautifully constructed song, with lot's of room for interpritation and experimentation, as demonstrated by the HTWWW version.

It reminds me, from a playing perspective, of Hendix's 'Little Wing' - no matter how many times I play it, and how good I get it, it's the nuances of the player that are really hard to capture and make the song so special (and elusive!).

So this song was recorded at the L.A. Forum on June 25, 1972. I was at that show. I still have my ticket stub.

Not only Zeppelin in their prime, but Page at his absolute most dramatic, intense and epic. I just listened to the studio version of this on big studio speakers the other day; it had been many years... unbelievable.

If Page had done nothing else, this would be enough for me.
