Q: EVM12L + My Metro 100 watt Plexi, non problems right?

I've been playing my Plexi replica through a 4x12 with greenbacks (w/ attenuator of course.

If I don't want to cart the 4x12, will it work wattage wise to run it through a 1x12 cab with a high efficiency speaker? I've got an EVM12L, a JBL E120, a Fane coming, all are rated very high watts. But it is just one speaker.

Any negatives to sending that amp through just a 1x12?

I am also curious as to how Plexi's and JTM45's sound through the EVM12L. I have a Metropoulos GPM45 coming that I plan to run through a EVM12L loaded 1x12 or a 2x12 cab loaded with a Scholz Classic & a EVM12L.

I know Dickie Betts used to run his Plexi through a pair of JBL E120 and that speaker is very similar to the EV, it's even more high efficiency and transparent in fact. I have one here and I like it. So, it's been done.

I just think it will look odd to put a 100 watt Plexi atop a 1x12.

I use a celestion g12t 100 watt 1x12 with various 100 watt marshalls and have never had a problem. The speaker is a little darker than a greenback. Not sure how it compares to the EV.
