Are you set on a Traditional Pro Goldtop???

Gibson released a new model traditional pro Goldtop with P-90s.

You can also get the Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Studio Goldtop with a Burstbucker 2 and 3.

You can find them used here and there. Post a WTB ad on here and it might jog someones memory that have one in a closet.

Originally, they only released 100 of them and then after they quickly sold out, they started to make them a standard model. I bought one in vintage burst and then my lady bought me one of the 100 only in wine red. Then they started making wine red a standard color when those quickly sold out. Great guitars. I traded the vintage burst for a Trad Plus but still have the wine red.

Edit: I don't see wine red as a color option on the Gibson page.

Just curious, how does split coil P90 work ? I thought P90s are single coils?

They're tapped, not split. Some non-guitar-playing douche probably wrote the title without reading the body.

Hmm, I actually went to Chicago Music Exchange last week and they had a Gibson Goldtop Traditional there for $2,100. I bought it, but the Paul just isn't my thing so I shortly returned it. It was made in 2010 (from what the card in the case said), and it rocked, but it was too rock and roll for me (especially since I'm in a pop band). I would call them up if you're really interested and have them hook you up!

I was in the market for one a little over a year ago to no avail. Those things are long discontinued. Check out the regular Traditional Goldtop. A little more money but a wee bit nicer.

Reading classifieds only to be reminded that you have a LP in the closet. Must be nice.
