Fulltone TTE or Serviced EP3?

Which would be more stable for live use?
I know it depends on so many variables...but I would have a case for it and treat it well, but would be using it on a regular basis.

I'm a little hesitant on having more tubes to the circuit, and was wondering...if I slam a boost on to hit my amp, I'm assuming it'll hit the TTE tubes hard as well right? Does it distort nicely? I have an El cap, but know that the TTE's I've played in stores sound better- obviously being the real deal and all.

Which would YOU feel more comfortable using on a weekly, almost daily basis?

Why do you think an EP-3 would sound better if slammed by your OD or clean boost? I think an EP-2 or TTE would have a better chance at tonal nirvana in that situation.

I have a TTE and 2 Ep3. At the 1st gig I used it the tubes failed sent it to FT and the 1st gig back they failed again. use an EP3 as backup now. In fact theTTE sits more. I have a 70's strat where the neck never shifted in 30 years go figure..YMMV

Personally for me the EP3..I know what it can and can't do..Never used the TTE but given a choice the EP3 or Seriko. I was interested in the FT SS unit until I saw a mock up photo that showed a pot vs slider for the delay..Ya just can't make an ep3 type delay with out the Bolin Rod..

Hit the notes, turn up sustain, start moving the slider to shorten the delay. When you get to the shortest delay you can also slam the slider back the other way and that was pretty cool...They are a lot of fun and simple..

Hm , thanks. It's impossible to do that with an analog delay , right?

i liked the TTE better than the several EP-3s I have played and in fact just bought another one after going through about $1500 worth of digital delays that "sounded just like tape" according to the reviews here.

have both no problems but it is a different sound.
i think the tte sounds just as good if not better than my older units and i suppose the "new" factor makes for peace of mind for many.
