Arrow Vox night train nt15h/v112nt

Considering a Vox Night Train (2x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2x EL84 power tubes, 8Ω and 16Ω speaker jacks).

Thinking of getting a Orange PPC212-COB 16Ω 2x12 Cabinet to use with it.
But maybe for now just use it with my 4x12 Crate Cabinet.

Will this amp be able to produce a indie/britpop sound similar to the AC15/AC30 or will it just sound very distorted and be to heavy on the overdrive?
I know it's not supposed to sound like the AC-amps but I'm looking for a pretty clean sound but still with some crunchy gain.

The Night Trains seems like a pretty cool amp.

It will do pretty loud cleans. You can set it on Bright and have some crunch, and it cleans up with the guitars volume. I dont know why it wouldnt do the brit pop sound.

I love the my LNT and NT.

You will stay pretty clean and chimey if you stay on the bright switch. You'll need to keep it at 15 watts if you want to push 2 or 4 speakers.
I did the Fargen Hot mod with mine (Mercury Magnetics OT and Choke) and just love, love LOVE my Night Train.
So much so, I bought the Night Train 50.
I think you'll be very happy with the NT. Kind of an updated Brit pop tone.

The Night Train is a good amp if you want a lightweight amp with surprising headroom and want a clean/ bright tone. It's not got the balls of an AC30 but it's not a bad sound. I think the natural overdrive of the amp leaves a little to be desired but it's a great pedal platform. I suspect it'll sound better through bigger cabs, I think it's let down by the matching 1x12 cab, which is only really good if you want a very light and small cab to match.

I have the Lil Night Train with matching 1x10 and have tried the (big) Night Train. Avoid the matching cabs. They just have balls to them at all. It's not the speaker either because they are the same ones as the AC4TV.

Thanks a lot guys! I really think I'm going to buy one. And when I can afford I'll get a 2x12 cabinet!

Any cabinet recommendations that are affordable? (=
