I look forward to it. I need a new mac to install it though (i am still on ppc).
used to work with gr3 and it thought it was ok. my last modeling attempt (hd 500) was totally disappointing.

IRs from Redwirez, this is gonna be a winner I bet. Broad generalization but that's my hunch.

Yup! And the reason for this is the new control room where you can set up a number of IRs with different mics and speakers and then mix and pan they to your satisfaction.

Cheers,

I've been a constant user of Guitar Rig for the last 2 years and this is awesome. I wish they made it into a floor unit like a POD...

The 2 new amp models are 2 I wanted badly as well a 5150 and an SLO! So colour me impressed!

The ONLY other thing I hope is that the dynamics are improved with volume controls etc.

I hope you can use their former cab sims as well because I still think they have some of the best ones. The Redwirez will be a welcome addition.

I finally have a computer (borrowing from work) that might make it possible for me to get low enough latency using a decent audio interface with GR. I've always kind of dug their FX and some of their amps/presets. Man these new releases are tempting!

So , have they improved amps and effects from their last release, or just added 2 amps, and redwirez impulses to their old technology ??
Considering the fact that they dont mention any kind of improved modeling, I'm afraid there's nothing new here

Why do you think the modeling needed improvement...? What's wrong with the actual modeling?

Let's hear what you have to say. I'm all ears!

I didnt say guitar rig 4 was bad, i don't think there's anything wrong with it, otherwise i wouldn't use it. But i did say i expected guitar rig 5 will bring something new. It's too early to make any kind of conclusion, but it seems to me that , except for 2 new amps and small changes in GUI, it's the same old thing.

So you're disappointed because they didn't do what you were expecting?

Help me here to understand... did you TELL'EM what YOU were expecting from them...?

So, you're saying "except for all that there's new, the rest is old"?

Ok, what about this one: "except when I'm wrong, I'm always right".

You can use all you want, it's NOT trademarkeded, you know?
