How I control my EHX 2880 with a Wiimote in 8 steps
What you need:
- An iphone - A Mac - A wiimote - A Midi Mobilizer from Line6 - the software "Chicken of the VNC" - the software "Darwiin Remote" - An IR sensor bar wireless - the S1 midi trigger application for Iphone the wiring: Wiimote -> Darwiin Remote -> Mac -> Chicken of the VNC -> Iphone -> S1 Midi Trigger -> Line 6 Midi Mobilizer -> 2880 How to: 1- Connect the midi mobilizer to your iphone 2- Set & configure the S1 midi trigger app to an ergonomic configuration 3- Create a new network with Airport on your Mac and name it ("2880" for example) 4- You have to connect your Iphone to this network. Then, copy the IP adress in "Chicken of the VNC" on your mac 5- The screen of your Iphone will now ask you to accept 6- The Iphone screen will appear on your Mac, and you can control it with your Mac. (RIght click is the home button) 7- Run Darwwin Remote, synchornize It with your wiimote. You will control the mouse/pointer cursor with your wiimote 8- you juste have to click on the screen of the iphone, navigate through S1 midi trigger, adjust the sliders, push the switch etc... The visual aspect is very good: you can push the sound from left to right with your hand if you play in stereo Video SOON N.B: It could be more powerful with Max/msp. I work on It. But I would like to show you a free-software version before ! |

Thanks for this--a little late on the reply here, but I'd be fascinated to see how this works, if you do end up making a vid.
