Tom Anderson Cobra S - Price Check Please

Can anyone give me a price check on a Anderson Cobra S - Used - Mint Mint - '09.

Just looking for what would be perceived as a decent deal, TGP perspective of course.

Great guitar, I have an 02 that I paid 1800 for last year. A 2009 would give you the newer 2 bolt neck joint, which is great. I would guess anything under 2500 for a mint 09 would be a good deal. I have two Andersons, Can't say enough about them. Simply awesome guitars.

I have a really nice one that I'd sell to you for $1,780 shipped and Paypal. It's from 2002, the first year that Anderson starting using stainless steel frets (so it has those). It's a Hollow Cobra S with a dark blue burst quilt top. Here's a pic.

depending on condition and the day and the seller, anything from about 1700 - 2200 is fair, imho. And also worth it, imho.

Really special things like Koa tops or some such might boost it a bit.

You should be able to find a great condition used anderson cobra S for $1700-$1900 if you look and work hard enough. Ive had 2 and got both around the $1850 range. Great guitars though I always found I wanted a little more beefy tone from them. They lean more strat then LP imo. Still very nicely made guitars.

have heard from many that the coil splits on the Anderson Cobras are some of the best going ..
Makes me quite curious ... because this design is one of the best looking ones in the biz ..IMHO of course

I get surprisingly straty tones when coil is split on the neck pup, very useful. I Never do that with the bridge pup though.

That is a nice Cobra and the top is gorgeous but I think it's priced too high. Just IMO. I think if you end up loving the guitar and its a keeper then it's what you are willing to pay. But if you end up not liking the guitar for whatever reason....there's a good chance you will end up losing a few hundred in resale.
