Other than health issue posts, this has got to be the most depressing post on the entire forum. So sorry to hear about that. I remember back when I was going to MI, we would talk about how the same thing happened to Tim Bogart (ex-bass player for Vanilla Fudge, Beck Bogart Appice, etc.). I believe he got the Harley out of the divorce and not much else at all. :-(

That was 4 years and 1 divorce ago.

Today: I rent an apt, have a Behringer V-Amp Pro and have to use headphones. Oh and I'm down to a pair of $400 Ibanez guitars. One of them is a "backup" for my other cheapo guitar!

Life.

Seriously, with all those Rickenbackers there you should really try a Gibson guitar some day. I think you might find that you like a couple.

Different Vibe

Wow . . . so far, many of the pics in this thread are not what I was expecting. Not in a bad way, but just different (lots of really nice gear though .)

When I think of a "guitar room", I kind of think of my own private man-cave where I can go, and just chill out and play. Recently did some renovation on my basement, and created this little area . . . A couple choice guitars, my fabulous Swart Atom Jr, and I'm done.

Don't have any pics of the new room but I've always had a music room since my college days back in 1999. This is how it went down:

Lived by my self - Tiny apartments became all inclusive as a music room.

Moved in with my then girlfriend - 2 bedroom bungalow so one room became the music room

Married her and bought our first house (3 bed) - Master, baby's and then the music room

Bought a new house with kiddo #2 (4 bed) - Master, Kid 1, Kid 2, music room.

It's never been an issue and she does like some guitar stuff in the main rooms as decoration, like the Taylor acoustic in the main room. She's awesome and always understanding.

But with 6 EL34 tubes it is LOUD!!!

It has some monsterous Partridge iron in it too.

Been married 12 years and have 2 boys. Fortunately, my boys love music....my 10 year old is taking drum lessons and is starting to play guitar too (his stuff is in his room). This is our computer/extra TV room, of which I have half of it for my stuff, and about half of the closet for amps and cases.

Married 8 years, two kids. Sometimes I'm amazed I even have what I have considering the only thing in this picture I owned going in to the marriage was the PRS. And the wife doesn't necessarily support my habit willingly.
