Tweaker 40 has been delivered!!!!

My new Tweaker 40 combo arrived today. I got to play through it for only 10 minutes. But It is relly awesome. I like the the ability to set the two channels up seperately and use the foot switch to go between them. With the very small amount of time I got to play with it, I immediately noticed changes when Tweaking the switches. I am going to my Permanet campsite with a 40 foot camper for the next five days. I will be taking the new Tweaker 40 and my new 3 day old Gibson Les Paul traditional plus in Hertiage Cherry sunburst with me.
Some beer, some whiskey some smo-- and all will be well. I will post a report next Tuesday with pictures. We are having a Pig Roast and I have been asked to play a few songs. Can't wait. Russ

Cool. Do you use pedals at all, especially delay? There a couple of small things that are different about the 40, from the 15 that you may want to know about. They were deal breakers for me, so I sent mine back. But, they may not effect your enjoyment at all. The f/x loop bypass switch does NOT bypass the f/x loop. I was running a looping delay pedal, and when I hit the switch to bypass, it still kept ringing as it was. If you use a different preamp, and run into the f/x return jack, it is like running a power amp. The master volume does not at all effect the volume. Again, these issues may not be a problem at all for your usage. But, I am a Tweaker, and I really wanted the same features that are in the 15.

Lance, thank you for the heads up! I do not use pedals with this amp. It is really a glorified pracice amp. I really like the idea of being able to tweak it to my delight. I own several amps and as such most amps are setup with individual guitars for certain songs or types of music. This all in one is made to Tweak. Should provide a lot of fun. Russ

For me, the dealbreaker I would see with this amp would have to be that the Marshall/Vox/Fender EQ switch looks like it's global, vs. per channel. What were they thinking?

Can that be right? Are you sure yours didn't just have a defect?

Hey git, enjoy your new toy.
Now that little 'camper' get-away. Eat, drink, fart and crank it up...Nice. A bit of paradise no doubt.

Not likely. I called, and spoke to Darrin @ Sweetwater, where I got it from, and he said it was mentioned in the little Egnater training session they got. It is still a really cool amp, and I found it to not be much louder than the 15, which I already have. And am VERY happy with. I think I am going to save up for a Two-Rock EG sig. I have been wanting one for a long time, but I always blow the money on something less expensive that pops up. There was a Voodoo V-Plex 50W 4 holer on CL, locally for only $800.00 that I was just positively frothing over! But, I stayed strong...this time. Enjoy your Tweaker, and weekend. I haven't rocked around a campfire in a very long time, and really miss it. That's the one thing you really can't have anywhere around here is fire.
