Peavey Delta Blues 115

Thinking about replacing the 15" Blue Marvel in my Delta Blues. Has anyone had any experience with the Weber alnico texas 15" (any other suggestions)? I stay mostly on the clean side with no effects.

Weber is a good speaker but I think the Texas may break up earlier than you want if you are staying clean. I owned the DB with the Blue Marvel and thought it was perfect for that amp. IMHO, the Delta Blues is a very under-rated amp and I wish I hadn't sold mine.

You are right it is a great Amp. Does anyone know the direct replacement for the Blue Marvel? Eminence lists the COMMONWEALTH 15
& the BIG BEN but I don't think they are the same as the Blue Marvel.

I used a Jensen Neo 15 and found it was a dramatic improvement in tone delivery:

Warm cleans and a nice grit when pushed. The Blue Marvel had a flat sound (to me) which I couldn't EQ out.
