Hey Clean Channel,
How do you run your looper? I see the labels but do you have multiple pedals in each loop? If so, can you elaborate on your decision making process of which pedals to put in each loop? I'm looking to do something similar.

WOW! What does it cost to put that on a plane? It's a work of industrial art though.

everything is still the same on mine. Signal chain is: Gretsch Anniversary or a Seafoam strat with a rosewood board into a locking jack on the side of the board--> Polytune--> Diamond Comp --> Tim --> EB VP --> Wampler Paisley --> Ep Booster --> HOF --> Timeline --> into a Bad Cat Custom Shop 30watt cub with reverb and tremolo which hopefully will be a morgan ac20 deluxe or a dual 20 in the near future (if you wanna trade let me know )

Hey Daniel,

Originally I wanted a looper to get the Wah and my old Whammy out of the chain. They were both modded for true bypass, but I still found them finicky from time to time.

I figured while I was at it, I might as well get a slightly bigger one and segment my chain. It wouldn't take up much more space, and knowing that my signal would be typically running though less pedals brought me some comfort. Figured it would also help with trouble shooting down the line.

I knew I could only fit the 5 switch looper, so I went with that and made do from there.

Since setting it all up, I won the Empress Compressor. I knew that I would need it to be earlier in the chain, so I stuck it in one of the early loops. I wanted it after the Envelope Filter, so loop 2 it is. I also sometimes like the sound of compression into a light-medium overdrive, so I wanted it before the drive pedals.

Here's my chain:

-Buffer
-loop 1 -> Wah -> Ring Thing -> Envelope Filter
-loop 2 -> Compressor
-loop 3 -> Twosome -> Multidrive
-loop 4 -> ParaEQ -> Phaser -> VMSD
-loop 5 -> Boss Loop station
-Reverb
-Tremolo
-Boost
-Tuner

Ok, so a lot to cover here, so I'll put a bunch of my reasonings in point form:

-Kept the buffer for when running multiple loops (therefore long sig chain)
-Liked comp on its own switch next to dirt so I can flip it off and dirt on in one foot stomp
-I like to run fuzz into overdrive
-I like the ParaEQ after dirt for all of the crazy tones I can dial in. I needed it before the Phaser so it didn't screw around with the phased signal
-I always wanted the Boss pedal out of the chain. I kinda wish it was after the reverb and tremolo, but not a big deal
-I treat the Reverb and Tremolo after the bypass looper sort of as if they were amp based effects.
-I like my boost at the end of the chain so I can boost my sound for leads.
-Everyone thinks I'm weird for having my tuner at the end of the chain. Aside from tuning, I use it for two other things. I will tweak the tuning of my pitch shift (was the Whammy, now the Ring Thing), basically turn the knobs on the Ring Thing and watch the Tuner display. I also use the tuner as a kill switch when I'm between songs, unplugging, etc.
-Having the Boss Loop Station in its own bypass loop is helpful so I can cut the loop with a single stomp at the bypass switcher. I always screw up doing that quick double press thing on the pedal while trying to play

Ok, that covers everything I can think of off the top of my head, hope that helps! If you have any other questions, to hesitate to ask.

Cheers,
Tim

This has been my setup for the past few months. I've swapped out a few dirt boxes (timmy, crunchbox, gt500) in place of the OCD but I always find myself coming back to it. It just sounds right to me.

I also keep the crunchbox and a dd7 with batteries in my gig bag just in case of a catastrophe... lol

Thanks I figured between the 4 of them, I'd have most bases covered.

Nice. So compact and functional. I'd gig that board. What's the black mini Unit next to the TC?
