Sounds like spam to me. Who makes a site for an Axe-FX II review and doesnt even have an Axe-FX yet?? Someone trying to get on the first page of google for "Axe-FX II review" so people goto his site and click on his ads.

its pretty obvious the thread starter is the guy himself

No, he's right - total spam. If you don't have a unit you have nothing of value to say in the way of a "professional" review.

I also question your role in all this, seeing how you have only 5 posts.

This was my favorite text on the site...

What EXACTLY is the Axe-FX II?

The Axe-FX II is many things to many users and there really is no definitive answer to that question.
I'm looking forward to the full review if it contains more questions with no definitive answer.

Okay, totally independent review on the UK fractal site?

I'm sure it will be good info... but "totally independent"? really?

My role?? Sharing the finding of a new website.
I sincerely doubt it. Especially given how defensive you are acting.

NO ONE publishes a website comparing a product to anything until they have the product. No one professional that is.

I'll be honest with you, this is probably the only review site that DOESN'T matter.

It's not the UK Fractal site.

From their home page...

Quote:
This website has been developed as a completely independent site with absolutely no association with Fractal Audio so anything you might read on this site is NOT conferred from, contributed by, suggested or even discounted (financially) by Fractal Audio or any of it's dealer network.

In fact this website is privately owned and operated by Tony Mckenzie - for more information about him visit www.tonymckenzie.com

Exactly.. SO, someone signs up on TGP JUST to post a link to a review site (which he claims is "the only review that matters" despite not even having a review yet??), Defends the site when its labeled as spam (which it clearly is), and the guy with 5 posts claims he has no affiliation with the site in question??

Can anyone tell me how thats NOT fishy as hell?

Get the banhammer out on this spammer please.

So the guy registered http://www.fractalaudio.co.uk/ so that fractal couldn't? or what?

It makes it LOOK like it's not independent when he registers that URL. Or it makes him look like an unabashed fan boi... Not sure which is worse.

That said, I'm sure he's capable of doing some good comparisons, but right now it's just hype.

Thanks, though...
