New company; check us out

Hello friends,

I'd like to let you all know about my new company, Old Dog Guitar Gear (http://www.olddogguitargear.com).

I up and quit my corporate job a couple years ago, spent some time traveling, playing guitar and getting to know my family better and then decided to create a small boutique guitar gear company rather than get back into a corporate environment. For a good part of the last year I've been working with folks to discuss, design, prototype, test and ultimately build the first pieces of our catalog and we are now prepared to share our products with the world.

Old Dog is small; just five employees counting me. We make everything by hand, one at a time, with love, right here in Wisconsin. We use the best materials we can find (e.g. custom Mercury Magnetics transformers in the amps, custom Weber speakers in the cabs) and we only make stuff we can be proud of.

Right now we have a single model of amplifier and a few speaker cabinets, but we're already working on new prototypes (a larger amp, effects pedals and straps are in the works). Our first amp, the Lucky Dog is a sweet little class A amp that can run both EL34's or KT66's (it comes with one of each). It's available in three face plate metals (copper, antique brass or stainless steel) and we have a few dozen types of tolex, vinly and fabric to wrap it in. (http://www.olddogguitargear.com/prod...plifier-head-1)

We have three speaker cabs to go with the head. A 1x8 that sounds much bigger than its size and two 1x12's (one open back, one closed and ported). They're available with either of two custom Weber speakers (one rated at 25 watts, one rated at 60). (http://www.olddogguitargear.com/coll...peaker+Cabinet)

So why buy from a nobody like us? First of all, we care and we're committed. We strive to be a company that you will be proud to support which puts you, our potential customers, at the very center of our universe. Our founding principles are: Have Fun!, Do Good Work, Dare to Dream, Play Nice, Believe and Persevere.

We offer a 30-day Buy It 'n' Try It option which features no hassle, full refunds if you're not satisfied. (http://www.olddogguitargear.com/pages/buy-it-n-try-it)

Having been burned by delayed or even DOA custom orders, we have created our best-in-the-business No Waiting Customization program whereby we promise to ship a customized version of any in-stock product with in-stock appointments in just one week. And if the customization takes a special fabric or something, we'll try to ship it in just two weeks.

And we'll back up our customizations with our Buy It 'n' Try It refund. Who else will create a custom exterior, ship it in a week and then give you your money back if you're not 100% satisfied?

So check out our web site and let me know what you think. We don't have sound or video links yet, but we will as soon as I can get guitarists, sound guy and studio time all coordinated. But heck, just buy one, let us customize the exterior for you and you can be one of the very first to own a piece of Old Dog Guitar Gear.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,
Jerry

Love the principles. Really happy to see that folks are still willing to take the chance on a dream. Best of luck to you and your company Jerry.

Cheers!

P.S. I'll be lookin' for those sound clips.

Thanks for the good wishes, guys.

Russ, you're welcome any time. The phone number is 608-798-1095. Just give a ring when you're going to be in the neighborhood. Bring your axe or use one of mine. We don't have a showroom, but we've got a room we use as a studio.
