The Guitar That Does EVERYTHING
A friend sent me this link, and I was impressed:
http://www.epiphone.com/U3/ Decent acoustic tone. Got me to thinking: Get one of those, and install a synth pickup. Add Variax guts, and/or Gibson Robot tuner technology. Then you could play acoustic, electric, sitar, bass, piano, organ, just about anything. Different tunings at the push of a button. Hook it up to a rack of MIDI devices, a switching system for different amps appropriate to any given sound. Of course the hard part is adapting your playing to marimba, accordion, tuba, celeste etc. sounds. Would enjoy hearing your thoughts on this. Last edited by slider; 09-07-2011 at 09:14 PM. |
