It looks like someone is testing the waters early - there's a $1050 EP Slingshot w/Hipshot on eBay rightnow.

I would have mentioned the Hipshot if it were me. SS's come up pretty often, but not so much with trems. I still wouldn't pay that price, I don't think.

I still don't know why I didn't order the Hipshot option when I had the chance!

Agreed - even with the Hipshot, EPN and case, I think that SS is in the $800 price range.

i'm not sure that seller gets the reverend thing. he had it listed as a rocco until i (and i'm sure other rev geeks) set him straight.

don't you guys think that string through is the ultimate rev sound though?

If this one was any color but black (yawn!), I'd have hit the BIN on it already.

Yellow would be nice. Or maybe orange.

I've been on a Reverend buying binge lately...

Just bought a Goblin and a Kingsnake, a Drivetrain II, and a second Drivetrain II (pending) as a gift to my nephew....

I also have a SS, and an aluminum top blue Rocco...

Excuse my GAS, I'm looking for a Spy or Avenger...

Some of us think black is beautiful.

Hey, guys - what did I miss while away on vacation?

Q. What do you get when you cross Tone King Amplifier's Mark Bartel and a Rocco w/GFS Mean 90s (same axe as in the preceding pic but I pulled and sold the white Harmonic Design Z90s)?

A. One happy amp pro (pic taken today)!

Attention Mike Duncan!

so, you want Phil Jacoby to apply the deluxe, special DOUBLE MINITOGGLES/SILBERMAN NECK AND BRIDGE PUPS OPTION/SERIES AND PARALLEL WIRING mods to your SSC, eh? Well, my friend, you've come to the right place for guidance.

I know we have some true-blue Spy fans here but I'm going to recommend the Avenger. I own the latter and have tried several of the former. The Avenger is much more versatile and, to my ears, flat out sounds fuller (yet still plenty open, airy, and quacky) and better.

It wouldn't be a BlackCat if it was a different color, would it?

Seriously, that is a nice looking guitar but it's not one of the original run of Blackcats which came out in 1998 (1999?) with the pre-Eastpointe neck. I have one of these that Joe upgraded to a string thru bridge in 2002. Great guitar, currently sporting an old Rocco pickguard with HB sized P90s
