Girls Rock!
Just want to give a plug to the great nonprofit Girls Rock NC. They run a rock camp for girls ages 7-17. More info here: http://girlsrocknc.org/about/
I don't have a daughter (2 boys) but I have friends whose kids have participated and highly recommend it, if you're in the Triangle and have a girl. Girls Rock NC is always in need of donated gear, so of course I thought some of my fellow NC gearheads might have a few extra cords, pedals, mics, or even guitars lying around that could go to a good cause. It's tax deductible and helps build confidence and encourage creativity in young girls. If you know of similar nonprofits in other cities, please chime in.

Maybe I should have posted a video of a 13-year-old girl playing guitar so we could argue about her tone?

I took my daughter to the concert a few years ago when she was 4. Made quite an impression.
