Callaham Tele Saddles

I'd like to get some opinions on the Callaham Telecaster Saddles. I have a Baja tele, and I love it, but the intonation does sometimes annoy me, so I want to get some compensated saddles. I fancy getting the Callaham saddles, but I'm not sure whether to get the slanted saddles or the ''enhanced'' saddles. Has anybody here had any experience with either type?

I ordered the Callaham plate, enhanced vintage brass saddles, cryo jack, and electrosocket jack cup before my Baja even arrived based on a ToneQuest review back a few years ago now.
Couldn't be happier.
Between the two saddles you basically are choosing how the guitar will look more than any difference in sound.

I too went with the enhanced steel saddles, and bridge plate on my 2008 American Standard. Very pleased with the results. Almost perfect intonation! Well, as good as you can get in 12 tone temperment. I have had several tele players check it out, and all of 'em were ooohs and aaahs! I was playing it Saturday afternoon, which was the first time I've played it in a while. Just blown away at how consistent everything is. Sustain for days, and you can get the largest sounding chords. Hit an E7, and just watch your face light up! Totally worth every penny!

I put the Callaham plate with enhanced vintage brass saddles on a MIJ tele, and it transformed the guitar. It sounded so good, that it killed my Custom Shop Nocaster. I had to put a Callaham bridge and saddles on the Nocaster to get it to sound as good as the MIJ. I never imagined a bridge and saddles could make such a difference, and I can't recommend the Callaham enough.

I bought a used set of Callaham brass saddles, barrel shaped but slanted, didn't notice a big difference compared to the normal Fender brass ones, but obviously bought it for its better intonation. =P. I think the screws are stainless and definitely noticed a bit more weight overall.

EDIT: this is on my Baja tele. No issues. very satisfied.

I've tried both the Callaham brass enhanced saddles and the Glendale brass compensated ones and I stuck w/ the Glendales which I had more success with in terms of intonation in part because the slated height adjustment screws gave me more adjustment room w/o bumping into the bridge mounting screws. It's also worth checking out the Rutters which I haven't tried but which people seem to love.

I have a Tele with the Callaham enhanced vintage brass saddles... perfect intonation and great sustain! They're spendy, but I never regretted the purchase.

Youre not going to hear any difference IMO, but the slanted will intonate better than the old style, but sound better? Brass is brass....Callaham Glendale Fender whatever,
