What's the nicest item you bought from a 'rare pedal' $ALE?

Either a rare or hard to get/wait for pedal = . . .

I sold off my Ethos for an '04 gloss burst finish Gibson LP Jr. with a hardshell case & still had a few bucks left~over.

How 'bout you all?

Hard to say - you are asking about selling a rare pedal to get a nice piece of gear? My current rig was largely part of a fluid process of buying and selling over the past year (so it is hard to say I sold one thing for another, I was just careful not to spend too much ) beginning with buying a few rare guitars a week a little over a year ago, collecting rare parts for a custom build and selling the rest of the parts, then upping my rig to match its quality. Only things I had longer were my Les Paul and Martin.

My pedalboard is pretty nice IMO - can't beat my Skreddy Fuzz, Tim OD, Pinnacle Distortion, Silver TS, pretty nice D-Style , but I think the nicest thing I picked up in the 'trade mix,' selling both boutique pedals and amps (such as a $4-500 boutique 1 watt amp/distoriton pedal, Modded Blues Junior III, many pedals around the same quality of my current ones) was my Fender Bassman. I got it as a 1966, but inside it says 1965. It was a great price from a guy who builds amps (frugalamps.com).
