Started watching The Sopranos...

....and the show is awesome. Never had HBO while the show aired, and now I've finally had the opportunity to start watching the series. Just finished season one and I can't get enough. They obviously do an amazing job with the characters because Tony's mom is driving me insane! She is literally getting on my nerves, haha. Great show, can't wait to start season two...

Yeah but Janice is worth it for her boyfriends lol

Tony Jr is pretty insufferable too the last 3-4 seasons.

greatest TV show of all time IMO, it will take you a while to get through all six seasons (unless you have a lot of time on your hands) but it's well worth it. the way some of the characters develop over time is really captivating to me, and the best way to observe that is watching all the episodes in order consecutively. enjoy it, i did it a few years ago home from school one summer...may have to do it again pretty soon.

When you're done with that, try "Deadwood". If Shakespeare lived in South Dakota in the 1800's and drank like Keith Richards, he would have written this show.

Certainly the way that I will be doing it. Almost glad I waited to start watching so now I can do it at my own pace

LOL! Great description of a great show. I just wish they would have found a way to wrap up the series instead of just ending it the way they did.

And though it has proven to be a bit "too much" for some folks, "Six Feet Under" was my personal favorite of all of the great HBO series, with a series finale that remains unequaled!

Best series finale ever!

But I gotta agree that the Sopranos was the best TV series of all time.

Enjoy the first two seasons, suffer through the next three, then enjoy the last, and hate the finale.

I have the entire series on DVD, and periodically watch the whole thing in order over a month or so. Pauly has to be my favorite character.

Second best TV show ever (sorry, I'm still a "Twin Peaks" freak).

What gets me is when Tony is in real trouble and you find yourself really rooting for him, and then you say to yourself... "What? I'm rooting for a sociopathic killer crime lord?" I love the way it twists you around.

Exactly how I felt, except I was okay with the finale. The first 2 seasons were exceptional and after that it would have good moments and fair moments.
