Because Outlook Express no longer comes with Windows 7. I have not set up Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail but I suspect that would take care of the problem since the link below states it has the ability to"automatically" configure itself with "many popular e-mail services".

There we go.

Apple fans are so pathetically predictable.

It appears there might be add-ons to IE8/9 which might correct the problem when clicking a link. Perhaps you might have to set the program settings for email under the options tab if you are using internet explorer? You could check to see Windows Live Mail was installed what default settings were assigned, while logged in under an administrator account.

Welcome to Microsoft answers.

Follow these steps to change the program as default.

1. Click start, goto default programs.
2. Click on set your default programs.
3. Select the program as default,
4. Then click ok.
