Foo Fighters - Sept 23rd @ PGH
Saw the Foo Fighters for the first time last night and they put on a phenomenal set. A little tidbit I learned was Dave's Mom was born in Pittsburgh. Due to that they played out an extra long set. They played for about 2hrs 40mins. Luckily it was a fall show as the last two times have been summer shows and I've been on vacation. My wife really enjoyed it too even though she is 37 weeks pregnant. Two Openers and a long set and she hung in there and was rockin when she wasn't too tired from standing. Either way, they are probably the best Main Stream rock 'n roll band today. Hopefully others break from the cookie cutter ways and go more down their route.

I was there friday night. Dave & the Foos put on a hell of a show as always. They may be the best rock band we've got these days.

I believe Dave spent much of his childhood in Warren Ohio. Last time they were in town...he told the story of when he was a kid...always going in the summers to visit with his grandparents in Breezewood.

Definitely cool. Yea, I'd say Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters are at the top of the list when it comes to Grade A Rock bands out there right now. The Black Keys put on a cool show as well. The whole "indie" scene does nothing for me.
