Help me put together an Ableton Live Rig for live applications

So here is the deal, I need to put together an Ableton Live rig to use with our band in strictly live settings. I need to have four independent outputs (1 click, 2 and 3 sample left and right, 4 bass). Going to run bass to an amp then DI to the house (so for us it will feel and sound like bass on stage).

I am planning on using Ableton Live 8 (no brainer), a Macbook Pro with optimum system requirements stated by Ableton, and M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. Anything I should reconsider or change? Money is tight, looking for the best and also an affordable way to do this.

Really the major question is the interface. I want to make sure this system is compatible, that it won't take weeks to make everything talk together. Need to hear from some people that have used Ableton in this way and found a reliable and easy setup to use.

Thanks for reading and I really appreciate your help.

Good lord, no replies?!

I can report that my Presonus firebox has been giving me trouble but I'm able to work around it. It drops from Ableton every so often so I have to Unselect the audio source and then reselect it. So avoid this interface

The apogee duet seems to be the mobile interface of choice. It ha 2 in, 4 out and is amazing.

Regarding the rest, keep us posted.

Rack case!!! http://www.musiciansfriend.com/acces...le-studio-rack

I'm spoiled by an RME Fireface UFX. But can confirm - problems w/ Presonus.

You can create "sets" in Ableton - but I found it difficult to move tracks around to other "sets". Another handy thing I found is that you can change tempo and time signature by renaming the scenes.

If you want to stop/start Ableton clips with your feet, here's a roundup of MIDI Foot Controllers, some of which may work better with Ableton than others:
