So, I finally got my Signa-Drive and Green Rhino yesterday

I copied some of this, from the last page of a 4 page thread that I had started asking about TS pedals for more overdriven sounds.

Well........ I took delivery of a Green Rhino and a Signal Drive this week.

The Signal Drive has more gain and is probably the best TS pedal I've ever heard, period! It's very "high-def" for lack of a better description. The Green Rhino is a cool pedal, not the higher gain pedal I was hoping for. It has just a smidge more gain than my BBE Green Screamer and about 50% more than a stock TS, but what makes it stand out are the 100k knob and the hi-mid cut knob. It can be a really thick sounding overdrive, which is something I'm missing on my board (but have now).

Out of the two, I like the Signa Drive best.... I really wasn't expecting it to be THAT good. I was expecting to get blown away by the Green Rhino and just "like" the Signa, but it was the opposite way around.

To be honest, for more traditional TS tones..... I like my BBE Green Screamer the best so far. It's got more of that traditional mid-hump than these two new pedals and less low end, but has that magic TS mojo.

Over the past 5 years, I've had several modded Tubescreamers and many boutique Tubescreamer pedals that cost well up in to the $300 range.... This Signa-Drive is the cheapest of them all (new around $135, used $85-$100), and probably the best sounding one of them all. But everybody likes different stuff in their TS pedals.

Cool

I listened to some clips of the Signa Drive a while back. Very nice sounding pedal.

I have both of these pedals on my board right now. I also use a cmatmods boost and keep it on almost all the time. I play through a dual rectifier and get a really smooth liquid snound with a big tight bottom end on my dirty channels. I play mostly 90s and modern hard rock Alice in chains sound garden breaking Benjamin chevelle ect...and I can nail those tones. I also like to play classic rock and blues but with a high gain amp, it doesn't sound like i'd like it to sound on the dirty channels. The Ods sound great when stacked, I'd say plexi like but I still think a cleaner amp or an old jtm45 or plexi would let these pedals really shine....any suggestions?
