Pedaltrain mini or jr? Questions...

I'm having a hard time deciding on whether I want a mini or jr. The pedals barely fit on the mini and the jr is more than enough (not way to big though).

How big is the case and the little pocket on the side of the case of the mini? Will it fit a wah pedal? Because on the jr I can mount the wah but not on the mini. Can I put a tuner or another pedal on my pedal power 2? Will it still fit the case? I'd rather have a mini because of the size and I like having all my pedals on 1 row but if all won't fit, I guess I have no choice...

Thanks!

I had mini and recently moved up to the jr. I put a volume pedal in the front case of the mini, but it ripped the pocket (still useable though). Ultimately I just wanted a couple more pedals on my board. Unless you never plan to have more than 4 or 5 pedals and don't mind having the wah on the floor (probably won't want it in the pocket all the time), then go for the mini.

Thank you, so that will also make the tuner on pedal power 2 impossible?

I've had both, and one of the biggest deciding factors for me was how much easier it is to mount a power supply to/under a jr. Even if I downsized my pedals, I'd probably keep the jr. for that reason.

i'd go with a Jr. over the mini for the same reason; power supply, future expansion if need be, and there's always a need be.

I have both. Don't overload the mini, use a JR or downsize isy suggestion.

I started with a JR, moved up to a PT-2, then downsized to a mini before expanding to a JR again. The pedals I use almost fit on a mini, but it's nice to have a little breathing room of the Jr. Go for the Jr.

I always found that my pedalboard was the perfect size for what I needed, until I realized that I needed another pedal (or two or five) and I didn't want to get rid of the ones I already had. All that to say I would always go bigger than you think you need, because eventually you will probably want more real estate.

Go with the Jr if you're not sure.

I use the Junior, and I never fill it up. If anything I only fill-up the bottom row. But occasionally I do like to pack a wah pedal, or maybe an extra tuner pedal or another pedal just for a backup or if I end up needing to cover a specific sound unexpectedly. And as others have said, you need the Jr if you're going to use something like the Pedal Power 2; otherwise unless I'm mistaken you need to burn a space on the Mini just for that.

If you're like me and you don't use a whole lot of pedals, the Junior will probably be the last board you ever have to bother with.

If you want to use a Wah a lot, I would not go for the mini. It would hardly fit the extra pocket and rip it apart after a while. The pocket is good for some cables, but not more. I agree that a Jr. would better fit your needs. Of course it depends on your tuner if it would fit on top of a PP2, but with a Jr. you're able to fit the PP2 underneath.

I find a mini very useful as having a convenient, small pedalboard next to my large Pedaltrain Pro.

I have a Jr. and it is filled with 7 pedals. I am not going to buy a bigger board, but I might add a Mini with 3-4 optional effects when I need them. I like this option, because space can be at a premium on some stages.

Sweet deal on a pt2 with soft case in the emporium(75). Nothing to do with your junior vs mini post, but I thought I'd throw it out. I use the pt2 and it's not as big as you'd think.

I have a Jr and have thought about downsizing, but the simplicity of having the PP2 underneath and all pedals -- volume included -- on a single board keeps me from it.
