Fender Type Clean Rack Preamp?

is anyone making a rack mount preamp which approaches the quality of a bruno cow tipper in fender clean/warm clean territory?

i've already got a matchless gp1, and a custom soldano, but neither get close to the cow tipper i've got as far as rich open cleans are concerned. i need a rack pre to go into a stereo boogie 6L6 power amp. anyone blown away by their rack pre's cleans?

An old mesa boogie studio pre, really nice fender cleans, nice loop too,
may not be quite in the league of yer cowtipper, but still a nice and very "fender clean"

The old Alembic F2B got you there. Pleny of mods available too. You'd just have to find one...

i have a newer f-2b, which sounds pretty good, but it's noisy, and the headroom is not great. do you have any links for any of the mods you mentioned? pete cornish explained to me briefly how he modified gilmour's f-2b, but didn't give me any component values...

Quinnamp makes an SDO preamp too. I'm sure you could comission a clean only style preamp if the dumble style vibe ain't your thing.
