Somebody, blasphemously, cut an Ibanez Challenger(lawsuit strat) headstock into a pointy modern Ibanez shape. How hard would it be to cut and glue/screw a piece of maple into place to restore it to stock?
I have the neck on an '80's Ibanez Roadstar II body w/early Dragons. The guitar sounds great and I record solo's with with it a lot, but I'm embarrassed to play it live.

![]() Most Ibanez lawsuit Strats had a 2 piece headstock with the seam visible in plain sight, I think it would be fine to do. ![]()

Cool! I have a Challenger that was my #1 for many years. That's how I knew what the hacked up one was when I saw it. Most of the decal is still there.
I've been thinking about taking it to Vo-tech and see if the woodworking instructor would do it as a class project. I can see a pro charging a lot. A seam wouldn't bother me.
