Carol Ann Triptik vs Tucana 2 cleans ?

Hello all........ Thinking about having my Tuc 2 upgraded to a Triptik. While I'm confident it's the right thing to do for my od tones, I was wondering how the clean channels compare. Anyone out there have experience with both these amps ? How do the cleans differ ? Thanks, Dave

I am expecting a Triptik......until then I can only speculate. I would bet that the cleans are "cleaner" on the Triptik based upon Alan's description of the amp. Of course, "clean" can be many things to different people. Kind of an interesting combination....ultra clean channel with a much heavier side to the amp. I really liked my Tucana, and found it to be my favorite go to amp in almost all situations. The real world comparison is going to be interesting.

Exclamation

If the Tucana had adjustable gain it would crush all other amps period!

There.. I said IT!

Rick, that's exactly it.... I'm sure the clean channel will be great, I'm curious about the "flavor". Flcmcya.......spot on man.......I love my Tuc 2, I just want the flexibility of dialing in significantly different gain settings for the b and c channels. As far as a main amp/gig amp my search has ended at CA !

Alan may already be looking into a possible adjustable gain for C.

I may have to have one of each myself.

Dangit!

Yeah, unfortunately both isn't an option for me right now :-( $500 to have a Tuc converted to a Triptik sounds like a worthwhile investment though......

OK tried them both at lenth, coudlnt pick, both are awesome sorry this doesnt help, you are not losing by have one or the other so I'd go with the gain side of the tuc or triptik equation

How about Tucana 2 vs. Triptik for gain/OD? Can anyone offer descriptions?
