Best match for the RC Booster/Best SMALL Boost pedal

I'm going to be using the RC Booster as my low gain drive. I need something to work as my higher gain. I'd still like it to be fairly transparent, but some coloration is fine.

Thought about an AC Booster, maybe a Sweet Honey Overdrive...any other (non tubescreamer) suggestions? I play P&W if it matters, which I really think it doesn't.

Also, what is the best "finger" size boost pedal? (think JHS mini bomb boost) or anything that size..

If you like the EQ that the EP Boost adds, you really can't go wrong with it. I love mine.

What do you mean you are "going to be using the RC Booster" as you low-gain drive? Do you not have one? They're good pedals, but they don't really add much in the way of "overdrive" on is own...

there isn't enough dirt in an RC booster to make it a low gain drive. Only if you'll be using an already dirty amp. You'd be better off getting an AC booster for that application and either using the rc to boost that or getting a bb preamp for the higher gain

Leave my EP on all the time stacked after the other dirt pedals, I use the RC as a solo boost, and then using mainly the Suhr Riot for my higher gain tones this week at least...

Although I'm tempted to buy another EP Booster to throw before the dirt pedals as well. They're just so damn small and sound so great!

theres absolutely enough "gain" in the rc booster to make it a low gain drive, but you would be using it differently. Use it to "cook" your amp - put the level all the way up, gain around 9 (basically none) and you'll be getting preamp gain and a touch of compression. I love how it sounds like this!

read the rest of my post. I said unless you're using it with an already dirty amp, but in a clean amp it doesn't have enough gain man.

I have the RC Booster. It's not enough if your amp is too clean. Anyway, I've been through many pedals over the last years. Lately, I've been somewhat impressed by the Lovepedal Amp50. It can be a clean booster, a transparent low-gainer or a crazy overdrive, not to mention it cleans up very well with the volume knob. To me, it kills the OCD, and sounds very natural. Sorry for the poor recording, I hope this gives you an idea:

NOC3 makes the earth boost which is in the mini box. I have every one of Nick Colquitt's pedals and they are great. I have his surge boost which was a special pedal he did to pay for some surgery. Great little boost and takes up no real estate on the board. I assume the earth boost is very similar.
