What kind of vintage Vox guitar is this?

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone help me with some information about my guitar?

It's a Vox Phantom XII Special, well thats what it says anyway but I can't find any evidence that that is a real thing.

I can't find a single picture of one on google that looks exactly the same.
All I know is that is was a studio guitar at EMI London and was made in 1967.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Daniel

Page 32 of The Vox Story by David Peterson and Dick Denney show the body of a guitar dated 1966 that's almost the same. The difference is that it has 6 buttons, not push-in tabs. No head stock shot so can't tell the model. It's conceivable that it's a one-off; demo; or never distributed in the U.S. There's a more recent Vox book out that may be of greater help

Sort of reminds me of the guitar Ian Curtis sometimes used with Joy Division (the guitar Bernard Sumner inherited, and which was presumably stolen when New Order had their equipment pilfered from a van in NYC).
