I'm running it on a 2010 Mac Mini with Lion. No problems for me

I'm running it on an early 2012 MacBook Pro with Lion. No issues at all. I have it hooked up to a separate monitor and gameplay is smooth. Loving the game so far.

Thanks for the responses guys - I'm really glad you all arent having any issues.

Maybe there's hope! My copy of Snow Leopard should arrive today or Friday, so i'll be updating that and then installing D3.

Just read a LOT of complaints on how slow and choppy the game is on macs.

Really good to hear that other mac folks are doing okay - gives me a sliver of hope. Although my iMac is pretty old, it still meets minimum specs.

Don't take this as me bashing Blizzard or D3, but I wouldn't bother trying to play the game for another week or so, unless you're just dying to get started. The servers have been unstable (thank you online-only ) and there have been rollbacks and resets that have caused lots of us to lose progress.

Blizzard is always quick to fix problems, so I'd guess that this will all be resolved soon, but I wouldn't be in a rush to get in the game just yet.

Is 28 too young to say I'm getting too old to get wrapped up in games?.... Really want to binge on this one for 8 hours and I haven't done that in..... 6-7 years, truthfully.
Nope. I'm 27 next month and I don't really have the time (or desire) to binge out like I used to. Honestly, I was bored with it within the first hour, but I think that has more to do with me just enjoying more complex games these days. I'll stick with it to see if it gets better, but I just don't think I can go back to the old click-and-kill dungeon crawlers anymore.

Maybe if it's your first time through, but playing WoW from launch through WotLK, I can promise you that there is nothing fun left in that game. TBC was great, but they just tanked the game after that. The Kaelthas and Lady Vashj fights were fantastic, as were many other fights in Black Temple and elsewhere. The difficult of WotLK was a joke. I loved some of the UI changes, cross-realm instances, etc., but the content was terrible. I stayed around long enough to kill Arthas, but bailed out midway through collecting shards for the legendary axe (whatever it was called). There was just zero challenge in any of the major fights, and I was never a big PvP'er, so I didn't hang around for that.

That may just be the burn out talking, but I really hated the direction the game went.

I'm a Blizzard fan. I haven't got D3 yet. Many games are buggy when they first get released so I'm going to wait for all the bug fixes before I play it.

Finished Normal mode last night with a couple friends. Pretty awesome. Awesome graphics with some nostalgia of the old days

Congrats! I still remember the thrill of victory when I killed Diablo for the first time in Diablo 1!!

Are you a "ladder" player?

I always played solo, or with friends on a LAN... never online.

Went to a friends house this past weekend w/ my singer. 4 of us total in a small room.

The South Park episode where they all played Wow - that was us haha.

We beat normal mode in about 12 hrs. Seriously one of the best weekends I've had in a long long time.

It actually runs fine on my mac - i was very surprised. Its all the way low, but still, i just want to play, i dont need amazing graphics. When I got home, i played some more - lights off, studio monitors cranked. The stereo imaging in that game is sweet.

Now im back at work. Dammit. Want to play more. So addicting.

I've got a lvl 35 monk and a lvl 15 wizard (i think, cant remember exactly)

Whats everyone else playing with?

I had the chance to play a wizard up to lvl 20.

It's two days now that I'm unable to connect, error 3007, and despite the thousands of messages from other users here in France (or on european servers) on the Battlenet forum, with the same problem, no communication from Blizz to explain what happens and if they are working on a solution....

Too bad, I found the game great.

Never again will I buy a game at launch time,.

Bought it friday, have hopped on any time I've wanted to... I waited it out from the initial early week hit, and have never been turned down in 4 days.

I think its getting better...

lvl 20 monk in act II.... fun stuff!!!

Wish I could have kept my open beta characters, leap off at lvl 10 with a barb, demon hunter and monk... oh well.

I've put off buying it until they release the first big patch.

Hopefully that will be within a month or two

I'll revise my earlier notes:

My wife and I played all weekend without any trouble. It looks like they have a lot of the bugs worked out now. My brother, however, is having issues with his macbook pro and graphics card compatibility. It seems that there's an issue with that in particular, but the game and the servers itself are working just fine. If you're a mac user, I'd double check the D3 forums concerning those issues, but otherwise, the game seems good to go now.
