Questions for the guys who drive "musician vehicles"

And by musician vehicles I mean ugly but get the job done. I drive an 89 Toyota pickup (mini S10) with a big camper shell. Could always haul my pedalboard, 2 guitars, my ac30 and my jsx head and Marshall 412. One time in addition to this, I hauled the drum kit and singers guitar, Mesa stack and pedalboard. Apparently vehicles like this have a sign attached that says "please pull me over". Been pulled over for some ridiculous crap, given a big mess of questions from one guy trying to distract me while their buddy looks in the back of my truck (at a bunch of roadcases) to see what "mischief" I'm up to. Then I get a bunch of questions about what's in the back. When they find out music gear "where ya been" then "you been drinkin" (about 15 times) I tell them I drank alot of dr pepper because usually by this point it's just getting ridiculous like I'm gonna say "gotcha! I lied" or something. Had one guy run 70 in a 40 to catch me, then follow me a couple miles only to flash the lights when I turned onto my road because I "didn't signal long enough". I think the most frustrating thing to me is they stand around and bs about it. Why not just say "hey I think your vehicle looks suspicious so I pulled you over"? Oh wait...that would be against the rules right?

I picked up my new ride last weekend. With no 4x12 in my life, it's easy.

This, my friends, is a real mini van. Stay away from 4x12's and big PA's and you'll be good.

are you saying you don't enjoy having your stuff laid out on the side of the road at 3:00am? it's hard being a star.
